At Formbar, looking after the environment starts with choosing products that are made to last.
We work with manufacturers who put quality into the materials, design and manufacturing process. Our trolleys, baskets and retail equipment are built to cope with the everyday demands of busy retail environments.
The longer a product performs well, the less often it needs to be replaced.
Built to last. Easier to maintain.
Good quality also makes products easier to maintain and keep in use.
Where possible, we help customers repair and refurbish trolleys rather than replace them. Wheels, castors, handles, child seats and other components can often be replaced to extend the working life of a trolley.
For some customers, we also operate a closed-loop refurbishment service. Damaged trolleys are collected, repaired and held in a pool at our warehouse. Refurbished trolleys can then be sent out to stores as replacements, while further trolleys are collected for repair.
We also offer refurbished equipment and a hire service, helping products remain in use for longer.
Reuse and recycle
The materials used by our manufacturing partners are recyclable, and where appropriate, recycled plastic is used within selected products without compromising the quality and durability we expect.
We can also help close the loop. Plastic baskets can be returned at the end of their usable life for recycling, allowing the material to be used again in the manufacture of new products.
For us, it is about making the best use of materials for as long as possible.
Making every journey count
Many of our products are manufactured by our European partners, so how they reach us matters too.
We plan our orders carefully and maximise truck loads wherever possible, making better use of European road freight and reducing unnecessary journeys.
From choosing products built to last to maintaining, recycling and transporting them responsibly, we look for practical ways to reduce environmental impact throughout their life.
